Chico Jardim, is a co-founder & managing director at SP Ventures (SPV). Working with idealistic, game-changing entrepreneurs is what gets him up in the morning. He deeply believes that entrepreneurship is the answer to humanity’s gravest challenges. He is most passionate about protecting nature while feeding a growing global population.

Chico started investing in agtech over a decade ago and has not looked back. He has led 34 deep tech venture investments and supported founders in over a dozen boards. He has also launched & sits in the credit committee of the region´s first Venture Debt Fund (BVD – Brazil Venture Debt 1).

Before starting SPV, he worked in financial services and had a rather nomadic youth. He grew up in 3 different continents and 10 cities. In his spare time, Chico enjoys spending time with marine life and exploring ship wrecks.
