Holger Eichhorn has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in IT leadership and management. Holger is currently serving as the CIO and Head of Technical Infrastructure Management at Sozialstiftung Bamberg, where they oversee the IT, telephony, and medical technology departments. In this role, they are responsible for operating the BSI-Kritis infrastructure with ISO 27001 certification and providing support to over 5.
Prior to this, Holger Eichhorn founded founder-compass.de and provided consulting services to startups. Holger also served as a member of the Executive Board (CIO) at Fonds Finanz Maklerservice GmbH.
Earlier in their career, Holger Eichhorn held leadership positions at wdv Gesellschaft für Medien & Kommunikation mbH & Co. OHG, where they were the Head of IT Management, Change Leader, and the Director of the Competence Center for IT and Interactive Production. Holger also worked as a Senior Network Consultant at Schunk EDV Systeme GmbH, providing IT infrastructure and security solutions to CEOs and CIOs in different industries. At CSK Software, they served as a System and Network Manager, handling the administration of Cisco firewalls, networks, and Windows and Linux servers, as well as providing user support in an international environment.
Holger Eichhorn attended Technische Universität Chemnitz from 1991 to 1996, where they pursued a degree in Gymnasiallehrer für Mathematik und Physik. Prior to that, they also studied Informatik at Technische Universität Chemnitz from 1996 to 1997.
