Greg Janiec has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Greg started their career at Roy F. Weston, Inc. in 1989 as the Deputy Program Manager for an EPA technical assistance contract. From 2004 to 2007, they worked at Weston Solutions, Inc. as the National Hazardous Waste Assessment and Remediation Service Line Leader, responsible for developing and organizing hazardous waste site assessment and remediation capabilities. Greg then became the National Disaster and Time Critical Response Leader at Weston Solutions, Inc. from 2007 to 2013, where they created and maintained disaster and time-critical response capabilities.
In 2014, Greg joined the Montgomery County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) as an appointed member, filling the Environmental Consultant position. In this role, they provided input on emergency planning, hazardous materials management, disaster recovery planning, and other business matters impacting the county.
Most recently, Greg has been working at Sovereign Consulting Inc since 2013. Greg started as a Senior Technical Project Manager and has also taken on Business Development responsibilities. Greg supports retail grocery clients with environmental, compliance, and remediation issues associated with distribution centers and retail grocery stores. Greg has managed demolition and UST removal projects at multiple facilities.
Greg Janiec completed their Bachelor's degree in Geo-Environmental Studies at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania from 1979 to 1983. Greg then pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Science at Drexel University, which they completed from 1989 to 1994.
