Thomas Anderson is an experienced engineering and operations professional with a strong background in the copper and aluminum rod mill industry. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Southwire Company since 2012, Thomas is responsible for establishing process parameters and design improvements aimed at enhancing safety, quality, and throughput. Previous roles at Southwire include Operations Manager and Process Engineer, where Thomas focused on driving operational excellence and supporting rod mill installations. Additional experience includes owning A&R Motorsports, where Thomas specializes in custom machining and high-performance engine builds, and serving as Service Manager at East Alabama Powersports. Earlier experience encompasses positions as Mechanical Engineer at Donaldson, where Thomas developed production jigs, and Design Engineer & IT specialist at MDT Armor Corporation, providing armor solutions for military applications. Thomas holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama and has attended Auburn University and Wallace Community College.
