Alexandra Barnard is a highly experienced chemist with a strong background in polymer development and testing, currently serving as a Senior Compound Engineer at Southwire Company since April 2016. Responsibilities include developing jacket and insulated compounds for the automotive industry, overseeing trial processes, and coordinating lab work with testing groups. Previously, Alexandra held the positions of PVC Chemist and Wire and Cable Chemist, focusing on product development for wire and cable applications and leading cross-functional teams to meet UL-44 specifications. Alexandra also has experience in establishing work instructions and delivering analytical reports to upper management. Alexandra earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Loyola University Chicago in 2012.
