Jody Little

Director Of Research at Southwest Research Institute

Jody Little has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over four decades. They began their career at the National Security Agency as a Systems Engineer in 1980. They then worked as a Software Engineer at Software A&E from 1985 to 1988. Following this, they joined Hughes Aircraft Company as a Computer Scientist until 1995.

In 1995, Jody became the President and Chief Operations Officer of Agrisoft, Inc., where they managed the company's day-to-day operations and played a key role in strategic planning and product development. They also served as acting director of research and development during this time.

From 1997 to 2002, Jody worked as a Business and Programs Manager at BTG, Inc., which was later acquired by Titan Systems Corporation. In 2002, they moved to Sierra Nevada Corporation, where they held the position of Vice President, Business Development ISR until 2010.

After leaving Sierra Nevada Corporation, Jody joined Knowledge Omega L.L.C. as the Chief Technology Officer from 2010 to 2011. They then became the Director of Programs, Cyber Warfare Systems at Harris Crucial Security from 2011 to 2013.

In 2013, Jody joined Southwest Research Institute as the Manager, Information Exploitation. They led various technology projects supporting information and knowledge exploitation automation research and development, as well as data analytics and data engineering for the application of AI and ML. They also managed research and development programs in the areas of intelligence data automation, radio technology, and cyber intelligence.

Finally, Jody worked as the Executive Program Manager for USAF Joint Base San Antonio 5G NextGen from 2020 to 2022. In this role, they provided leadership and management for the organization's 5G NextGen programs, focusing on research, development, test, and evaluation.

Throughout their career, Jody has consistently demonstrated expertise and leadership in technological and research roles across multiple industries.

Jody Little has a comprehensive education history. They obtained a B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland in 1985 and concurrently pursued a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 1980 to 1984. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 1978 to 1984. In addition, they completed an A.A.S. in Intelligence Analysis at the College of the Air Force from 1978 to 1981.
