Coming to SH with a strong background in patient care and deep experience managing, growing, and developing both clinics and clinical services, Steve has long demonstrated an exceptional commitment to rural health and to shaping the delivery of patient-centered care.
Hilbert, Wisconsin is Steve’s hometown, yet he has strong roots throughout the southwest region of the state as his father was born and raised around Highland, his mother near Richland Center, and a family tree farm has long been maintained in Clyde. Steve earned his BS Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse and his MBA from the University of Phoenix – Madison Campus. He brings SH wide-ranging and valuable experience in strategic planning and business development as well as building projects, quality, professional recruitment and development, and service management. His many awards and accolades include being named State and National Nursing Home Administrator of the Year while in an interim role.
For Steve, living in rural communities has also always meant being engaged in local leadership outside of work. He has served as village trustee, chamber board member, and school board member among other community leadership posts.
