Joao Paulo Casarotti is an accomplished pianist and educator with extensive experience in piano performance and pedagogy. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies at Southern University since August 2014, Casarotti previously held positions as a Piano Judge for the International Piano Performance Examination Committee in Taiwan and as a Piano Instructor within the Southern University and A&M College System. Prior academic roles include Adjunct Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy/Artist in Residence at Temple University. Casarotti holds a Doctoral of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from Louisiana State University and multiple Master's degrees in Music from Temple University and the University of North Dakota, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Music from the Universidade de São Paulo.
