Tom Ventress is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the IT Infrastructure Admin Lead at Southern Research Institute since August 2022. Prior to this role, Tom worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at Main Street, Inc. from August 2018 to October 2022, where responsibilities included maintaining and upgrading approximately 70 virtual servers, implementing various network monitoring tools, and managing a VMware virtual server environment. Tom has extensive expertise in VoIP systems, VDI environments, and backup and replication strategies, and has also contributed to the setup and support of Office 365 hybrid environments. Tom's career commenced as a Network Engineer at Amplicare. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Services from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
