Chad Waldow has a wide range of work experience in the power industry. Chad started their career as a Journeyman Lineman at NCPPD in 1998 and worked their way up to become the Asst Operations Manager. In 2008, they joined North Central Public Power District as an Operations Manager and held this role until 2015. Chad then served as the General Manager/CEO at Stanton County Public Power District from 2015 to 2023. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer at Southern Public Power District.

Chad Waldow obtained their MBA in Business from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2009. Additionally, they participated in the Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on Executive Management.
