Vallery Brown, CFA, currently serves as VP of Analysis & Structuring at Southern Power, a position held since August 2013. In this role, Vallery Brown leads a team focused on project financial analysis, valuation, and transaction structuring, particularly involving tax equity partnerships. Prior to this, Vallery played a significant role in building and managing Southern Power's Western Markets Commercial Optimization & Trading team, optimizing Power Purchase Agreements for multiple energy markets. Vallery's extensive experience includes serving as Fuel Procurement Manager at Southern Company, where strategic direction for coal transportation and emissions was established, and as an Assistant Bond Portfolio Manager at Protective Life, overseeing $2 billion in short-term investments. Vallery's educational background includes a Bachelor's in International Finance and German from The University of Alabama, a Master’s in Banking and Finance from the Manderson Graduate School of Business, and participation in an exchange program at the University of Mannheim.
