Circe Starks currently serves as the Director of Environmental Affairs and Sustainability at Southern Company since August 2023. Prior to this role, Circe has held various positions within the Southern Company and Southern Power, including Compliance Director and Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and Planning. Circe began work in the environmental sector at Alabama Power as a Senior Engineer before progressing through several management roles at Southern Power, including Environmental Affairs Manager and Environmental Services Manager. Circe's career began at Procter & Gamble, where responsibilities included Team Manager and Process Engineer. Circe holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tuskegee University, a Master of Engineering Management from Christian Brothers University, and a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Samford University.
