Ayella Maile-Moskowitz is a postdoctoral researcher at the Southern Nevada Water Authority since August 2023, previously holding a similar position at Virginia Tech from June 2017 to June 2023. Ayella earned a PhD in Environmental Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Technology from the University of Maryland. Ayella's research experience includes a research internship at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on environmental nanotechnology and water filtration membranes, as well as a research assistant role at the University of Maryland, analyzing wastewater samples and maintaining pilot scale digesters. Additionally, Ayella completed an internship at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, conducting experiments and analyzing images related to dictyostelium cells.
