Marc Morris is the current acting director of the School of Accountancy at Southern Illinois University. Previously, they served as the interim director of the School of Accountancy at SIU from June 2018 to December 2019. Prior to that, they were the director of the Masters of Accountancy Program at SIU from August 2014 to February 2016. Marc has also been an assistant professor at SIU since August 2008. Morris began their career in finance as a compliance officer/senior financial analyst for Siemens Information & Communication Networks from January 2002 to December 2004. Marc then went on to work for Cook County Government as the director of financial planning & administration from January 1999 to December 2001 and finance manager from January 1998 to December 1999.

Marc Morris received a PhD in Business Administration - Accounting from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Marc also has an MBA in Finance and General from the same school. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Marc Morris also has a JD in Corporate, Finance, Taxation and Securities Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Marc Morris reports to Terry Clark, Dean, College of Business. They are on a team with Stephanie Parton - Director, Development & Alumni Relations, Dena Stogsdill - Administrative Assistant, and Xiaoxin Beardsley - Chair, Finance.
