Spencer Hobbs is an experienced facilities manager with a strong engineering background, currently serving in the role at Southern Cross University since June 2019. Prior to this, Spencer held the position of Complex Director of Engineering at Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa from December 2016 to May 2019. Additionally, Spencer worked as Chief Engineer at AccorHotels and Mercure Gold Coast Resort from August 2012 to December 2016, and as Assistant Chief Engineer at Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa from November 2009 to August 2012. Spencer's educational qualifications include a Diploma in Engineering from HMS Sultan Naval School of Marine Engineering and a Diploma in Business Management from TAFE Queensland - Gold Coast.
