Melanie Sosebee is an experienced leader in technology operations, currently serving as Director of Infrastructure Operations at Southern Company since June 2017, overseeing an organization of over 200 technology professionals. Prior to this role, Melanie held various leadership positions at Georgia Power Company, including Credit and Collections Manager, Billing Operations Manager, and Operations Support Manager, managing teams responsible for significant financial operations and customer care. Melanie's career began at Southern Company in 1999, progressing through roles such as Assistant to the VP of Computing and Network Services and IT Field Operations Manager. Additionally, experience includes early work as a Database Administrator at Chick-fil-A Corporate. Melanie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Georgia State University.
