Beth Reese is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in finance and strategic transformation. Currently serving as EVP - Strategic Transformation Programs and EVP of SCS Shared Services at Southern Company since January 2019, Beth has led various strategic initiatives and directed the budgeting function. Prior roles at Southern Company Gas from November 2000 to December 2018 include EVP and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing finance and corporate communication functions after its acquisition of AGL Resources in July 2016. Furthermore, Beth held prominent positions such as SVP and President of Nicor Gas and Pivotal Home Solutions, along with various vice president roles. Earlier career experience includes serving as Senior Manager for Audit and Assurance Services at Deloitte & Touche. Beth holds a Master's degree in Accountancy from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor's degree in Business & Economics from St Andrews Presbyterian College, supplemented by study at the University of Stirling.
