Jason Aylward is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in trumpet performance and conducting. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor, Director of Bands and Orchestra, and Professor of Trumpet at Southeastern University since July 2021, Jason also holds the position of Principal Trumpet with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra and performs as a musician with Epcot Germany’s Oktoberfest Musikanten under The Walt Disney Company. With a robust freelance career since 2007, Jason has worked as a trumpeter, conductor, composer, arranger, and educator. Previous roles include Assistant Conductor and Orchestral Coordinator at Idyllwild Arts Foundation, Director of Performing Arts at Marion Military Institute, and Conductor in Residence at Round Top Festival Institute. Jason's educational background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts from The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University and both a Master of Music and Bachelor of Music from Central Michigan University and Concordia College, respectively.
