William Wainwright serves as the President of Southeastern Louisiana University since June 2023, following a tenure as Chancellor at Northshore Technical Community College from August 2011 to June 2023. During their leadership roles, William has focused on the successful implementation of technical education programs, workforce development training, and fostering partnerships with community leaders to address regional needs. Previous positions include Interim Chancellor at Delgado Community College, Regional Director at Northshore Technical College, Dean of Workforce Development at Capital Area Technical College, Dean at Louisiana Technical College Hammond Area Campus, and Grant Coordinator at Louisiana Technical College. William holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from the University of New Orleans, a Master of Education in Adult Education from Northwestern State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
