Claire Ashby has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Claire is currently serving as the Director at Ashby Associates Limited since August 2010. In addition, they hold the position of Trustee and Honorary Treasurer for the World Land Trust starting from March 2022.

Claire has also worked for prominent organizations such as the National Theatre, where they served as the Head of Internal Audit starting from September 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Assurance at Southbank Centre from January 2008, where they provided strategic audit planning, conducted audits, and facilitated the risk management process.

In 1993, they enrolled at the University of Reading, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geography, which they obtained in 1996. Later on, Claire pursued further education at Sheffield Hallam University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Management. Additionally, they received professional qualifications from ICAEW, becoming a Chartered Accountant - FCA, a process that took their from 1996 to 2013. During the same period, they also obtained the Chartered Internal Auditor and Qualification in Internal Audit Leadership from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditor, which they completed between 2010 and 2013.
