Mauro Romero is a seasoned chemical engineer with extensive experience in process engineering and metallurgical operations. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer and Commissioning at South32 since June 2015, Mauro plays a pivotal role in major projects, collaborating with EPDM companies to optimize process flowsheets throughout project life cycles. Prior to this, Mauro spent over 15 years at BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina, progressing through various roles including Senior Process Engineer and Hydro-metallurgical Process Control Metallurgist. Mauro holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de San Agustin de Arequipa, obtained between 1994 and 1998.
