Brian Syers is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience across various roles in the mining and construction industries. Currently serving as a Senior Mining Engineer at South32 since October 2023, Brian previously held key positions at CRH as Engineering Project Manager and Plant Superintendent from April 2019 to September 2023. Brian also contributed to Twin Metals Minnesota LLC as a Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Mining Engineer from April 2013 to March 2019. Earlier in Brian's career, tenure at Barrick Gold Corporation spanned from June 2009 to April 2013, where roles included Mine Engineer and Interim Operations Supervisor. Brian's foundational experience includes internships at Granite Construction, Stillwater Mining Corporation, and Martin Marietta, alongside an early role as a Teacher Assistant at Missouri S&T. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and ongoing studies toward a Master of Business Administration at The University of Kansas.
