Ellie Hathaway has been with South Wales Fire and Rescue Service since October 2019, currently serving as a Breathing Apparatus Instructor at the Cardiff Gate Real Fire facility, where responsibilities include instructing qualification courses and assessing compartment firefighting. Previously, Ellie held the position of Crew Manager, involved in junior officer operations. Prior experience includes serving as a Firefighter at South Wales Fire and Rescue Service from January 2016 to April 2018 and at Oxfordshire Fire Service from May 2009 to 2016. Academically, Ellie holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Sussex, obtained between 2003 and 2006, and completed studies at The Cherwell School from 1997 to 2002.
