Varshi Broumand, MD, MHA, FACP, FASN, currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at LASO Health since January 2023 and holds the position of Medical Director for the Inpatient-Acute Dialysis Program at CHRISTUS Health since January 2021, overseeing clinical quality and regulatory compliance across the health system. Varshi has extensive experience in nephrology, including roles as Interventional Nephrologist and Nephrologist at South Texas Renal Care Group since February 2008. Previous leadership positions include Hospital Chief Medical Officer at Christus Santa Rosa, President of the Medical Board at Christus Santa Rosa Health System, and Chief of Staff at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital-Westover Hills. Varshi's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University.
