Ileana Mendez is a medical professional with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Autónoma de Centro América and a background in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. With experience as a Critical Care Scribe at South Texas Health System since January 2022, responsibilities include managing EMR documentation for ICU patients. Prior roles include providing contraception counseling during observerships in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as participation in maternal-fetal medicine and infectious disease settings. Mendez has also completed a Clinical Research Training Program and has a strong foundation in research, having served as a Research Assistant at Genentech.
