John Barron has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. John began their career as an Associate Member of Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory from 2003 to 2007. John then joined Analysis Group as an Associate Economic Consultant from 2009 to 2012. John later moved to Rockland Trust, where they served as Vice President for Product Management from 2012 to 2015 and Vice President for Marketing Strategy & Analytics from 2015 to 2016. Since 2016, they have been employed at South Shore Bank, starting as First Vice President / Director of Business & Strategic Intelligence and eventually rising to the executive positions of Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer. In these roles, they have been responsible for driving growth through high-impact initiatives and overseeing strategy management, as well as monitoring the fintech landscape and future state of banking.
John Barron has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the Boston College Carroll School of Management. John also has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance from the same institution. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. John also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science from Stonehill College.
