Whittaker has been working in the planning sector for over 15 years, with experience in various roles at Hart District Council before moving to South Kesteven District Council as the Assistant Director of Planning. Whittaker holds a Master's degree in Town Planning from London South Bank University, a Master of Science in Biodiversity and Conservation from University of Leeds, and a Bachelor of Science in Human and Physical Geography from University of Reading.
