Courtney Knickerbocker is a seasoned professional in environmental resource management with extensive experience in wetland and surface water delineations, property due diligence, and environmental permitting. Currently serving as the Natural Resource Management Section Leader at South Florida Water Management District since May 2023, Courtney previously held roles including Environmental Consultant at Knickerbocker Environmental Consulting and Project Scientist at S&ME, where environmental resource projects were managed in collaboration with engineering and geotechnical teams. Earlier experience includes serving as Environmental Specialist II at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, providing expertise in compliance, permitting, and wetland delineation. Courtney also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty member and Graduate Teaching Associate at the University of Phoenix and University of Central Florida, respectively. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, both from the University of Central Florida, and an Associate of Arts from Florida State University.
