Katie Goodwin is an experienced professional with a robust background in geographic information systems and data analysis. Currently serving as the Assistant Scientist and GIS Lead for the Dublin Urban Rivers LIFE Project at South Dublin County Council, Katie focuses on improving water quality in urban areas through a GIS-based approach. Prior roles include Technical Lead/Coordinator at Ordnance Survey Ireland, where involvement centered on establishing data infrastructure for Sustainable Development Goals reporting, and Lead Data Analyst at Maynooth University, contributing to the development of the Dublin Dashboard. Additional experience includes work as a Spatial Data Analyst at AIRO, focusing on environmental sensitivity mapping. Katie holds an MSc in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing and a BA (Hons) in International Geography and Spanish from Maynooth University, complemented by studies at Universidad de Salamanca and a diploma in Professional Legal Studies from Griffith College Dublin.
