Fabian Batista, Ph.D., is an experienced Air Quality Chemist at the South Coast Air Quality Management District since October 2018. Prior to this role, Fabian served as a Laboratory Technician II for the City of San José and worked at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where responsibilities included research as a Graduate Student Researcher and teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Fabian also held positions as a Product Manager at Elementar Americas and as a Research Assistant at Stony Brook University and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Fabian's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Ocean Sciences with a focus on Chemical Oceanography and Geochemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Humboldt State University.
