Amy Armstrong serves as the Executive Director and Chief Counsel for the South Carolina Environmental Law Project, a position held since September 2002, where Amy also contributed as a Staff Attorney. Prior experience includes a summer internship at the Southern Environmental Law Center in 2000 and a role as a Field Biologist at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources from May 1993 to July 1996. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor along with a Master's in Environmental Resource Management from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law.
