Stephanie Koltun is a developer at Sourcemap, where they have worked for the past four years. Prior to that, they were a creative technologist at ActionIQ, where they designed, prototyped and documented the foundations of a design language system using design and programming tools to support both the Design and Engineering teams. Stephanie also audited the existing platform to uncover latent underlying patterns, identify points of inconsistency which disrupt the user experience, and proposed instances of incorporating motion to support a delightful, meaningful and clear user experience for constructing and analyzing customer segments. Stephanie has also worked as a designer at Payette, where they designed and developed the Glazing and Winter Comfort Tool, an online aid for architects and engineers to evaluate occupant comfort based on glazing selection. Stephanie also designed, developed, and implemented an intra-office network, Tom’s List, for spontaneous connections: mentoring, skill-sharing, lunch clubs, etc. In addition, Stephanie has worked on all phases of Amherst College’s New Science Center (230,00 GSF) focusing on user research, teaching spaces, and research laboratories. Stephanie has also coordinated with MEP/FP consultants to ensure the design and implementation of infrastructure supported the architectural intent.

Stephanie Koltun has a Master’s Degree from New York University in Interactive Telecommunications, which they earned in 2016-2018. Stephanie also has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Waterloo, which they earned in 2009-2014. Stephanie was involved in the Waterloo Architecture Students Association and Orientation Week Committee 2011 while at Waterloo. In their final year at Waterloo, they were on the Director Nomination Committee. Stephanie also spent a year at Queen’s University in Cognitive Science and the School of Computing, which they completed in 2008-2009.
