Wing Yung Chan has had a varied career in the tech and marketing industry. In 2009, they began as a Consultant at Accenture, where they were one of five interns accepted on the year long Horizons pre-university consulting programme. Wing Yung then returned for the summer in 2010 and was seconded as a consulting analyst in the RSA project for their aggregator-friendly eChoice car insurance product. In 2012, they took on an Intern role at HP Autonomy, where they wrote the new version of the core search engine project, building prototypes and production code in C and python. That same year, they also took on an Intern role at Balderton Capital. In 2013, they became IT & UX Officer at Trinity College Cambridge May Ball, where they rebuilt the website and ticketing system for Trinity College's May Ball, an annual summer party for Trinity College students, alumni and friends. In 2014, they became Managing Director at Preloved UK. From 2012 to 2020, they held various roles at The Hut Group, including Chief Technology Officer, Group CMO, Group Marketing Director, Director of Search Marketing and Customer Science, and Software Engineer. In 2020, they became CEO at Sourceful.
Wing Yung Chan has a diverse educational background. Wing Yung obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge between 2010 and 2013. Wing Yung then completed a Google Analytics Certification from Google in February 2017, and a Google Adwords Fundamentals Certification from Google in April 2016. Prior to their university studies, they graduated from Whitgift School in 2009 with a High School degree. In 2016, they also attended Squared Online.
