Tianyu Li began their career in 1996 as a Web Developer at MindCorps. In 1999, they moved to Amazon.com as a Senior Web Developer, where they were responsible for order processing page and product detail page. In 2004, they joined Celebrate Express as a Senior Software Developer, where they were part of the team to re-architecture internal tool and website to scale up. From 2005 to 2015, they worked at Mercent Corporation, where they held the role of Lead Software Engineering and Senior Developer. During this time, they designed and built the in-house ETL solution using SSIS 2008, and upgraded the ETL solution from SSIS 2008 to SSIS 2012. Tianyu also worked on the in-house reporting engine, visualizing the SSAS data into web interface and dashboard. In 2019, they joined SoundCommerce as a Staff Software Engineer, where they are working with Design, building, and maintaining the ELT framework, data warehousing, and dashboarding. Tianyu is also developing solutions for challenging requirements with multiple teams, using Google BigQuery, Cloud Function, Kubernetes workloads, and Looker.

Tianyu Li attended the University of Washington from 1994 to 1996, studying Computer Science.
