Christine Vissinga has a diverse background in immunology, oncology, and genetics spanning over three decades. Christine started their career at the Virginia Mason Research Center in 1990 as a postdoctoral fellow, focusing on T cell biology. Christine later joined the Benaroya Research Institute as a scientist, where they cloned the gene responsible for Nijmegen Breakage Syndrome. In 2007, Christine joined Amgen as a Scientist, leading projects in immuno-oncology, CAR-T, and inflammation. In 2019, they became a Senior Scientist at Sound Biologics before transitioning to the role of Principal Scientist in 2021. Throughout their career, Christine has demonstrated expertise in drug validation and screening, collaborations across therapeutic areas, and genetic research.

Christine Vissinga obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Immunology from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
