Melanie Brinkmann has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical research and infection. Melanie is currently a Professor Dr. rer. nat. at TU Braunschweig since 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Investigator at Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research starting in 2010. Melanie also held the position of Professor Dr. rer. nat. at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover from 2012 to 2018. In addition, they gained valuable experience as a Postdoc at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research from 2006 to 2010.

Melanie Brinkmann has a Bachelor of Biology degree from The University of Göttingen and a Master of Biology degree from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
