Daniel Becker, CPA has extensive work experience in accounting and finance. Daniel currently holds the position of Head of Technical Accounting, Reporting, & Revenue at SOPHiA GENETICS since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Technical Accounting & Reporting from July 2021 to January 2022.
Before joining SOPHiA GENETICS, Daniel worked at Quanterix, where they held various roles. Daniel was the Assistant Controller & Associate Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting in July 2021. Previously, they served as the Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting from July 2019 to June 2021, and as a Senior SEC Reporting and Technical Accountant from September 2018 to June 2019.
Daniel's earlier experience includes working at KPMG US as a Senior Audit Associate from July 2017 to September 2018 and as an Audit Associate from September 2015 to July 2017. Daniel also had an internship with KPMG US as an Audit Intern from January 2015 to March 2015.
Additionally, Daniel has gained valuable internship experience at Stevens & Lee/Griffin Financial as a Research Intern in 2013. Daniel also worked as a Financial Intern at Bob Casey for Senate in 2012.
Prior to pursuing their professional career, Daniel conducted research on the Holocaust during their time at Franklin and Marshall College in 2012. Daniel was also a Hackman Scholar at Franklin and Marshall College, where they researched global dark tourism through a marketing standpoint in 2011.
Daniel's early work experience includes being a Camp Counselor and an Intern at ESF Dream Camp Foundation from 2008 to 2011. Daniel also worked as a Coach at ESF Camps' Washington Nationals Baseball Dream Camp in 2009.
Daniel Becker, CPA began their education journey by completing a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program from Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy formally Akiba Hebrew Academy in the years 2007 to 2010. Following this, they attended Franklin & Marshall College from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued studies in Business, Organization, and Society. Eventually, Daniel enrolled in the Northeastern University - Graduate School of Business Administration from 2014 to 2015 to obtain a dual degree, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science of Accountancy (MSA), with a focus on Accounting and Business/Management.
