Gerald Tachiki has over 27 years of work experience in the programming field. Gerald started their career at General Instrument in 1994 as a Programmer, where they worked for two years. In 1996, they joined SCEA as a Senior Programmer and remained in that role for six years until 2002. Gerald then moved to BottleRocket Entertainment, where they worked as a Senior Programmer from 2002 to 2009. After that, they joined Trion Worlds as a Senior Programmer and worked there until 2013. Currently, they are employed at Sony Interactive Entertainment, where they started as a Senior Programmer in 2013 and later became a Senior Staff Graphics Programmer in April 2021.

Gerald Tachiki pursued their education at the University of California, Berkeley from 1990 to 1994. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science.
