Mario Chaves has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Mario began their career as a Freelance Architectural Design, working as an architect from June 2006 to September 2010. Mario then transitioned to the food industry, working as an Assistant Manager at Tortilla Mexican Grill from August 2011 to November 2012. Mario then pursued a career in procurement and logistics, becoming a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator at ICON - International Contraceptive & SRH Marketing Ltd from December 2012 to September 2013. Mario continued in a similar role at International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) from September 2013 to December 2018, and also took on the additional responsibility of Supply Chain Manager (Acting) from January 2017 to December 2018. Mario further advanced in their career, joining IPPF ESEAOR - Humanitarian as a Senior Supply Chain Consultant from April 2021 to November 2021. Their latest role was as a Supply Chain and Operations Manager at Sons starting from March 2022. Overall, Mario Chaves has accumulated extensive experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, and operations.

Mario Chaves attended IU CESMAG from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree with a specialization in Architecture. In September 2008, they also obtained the certification of Architect from the Colombian Society of Architects.
