Lee Penny is a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Sonoma County Water Agency since March 2021, previously serving as a GIS Programmer Analyst for the County of Sonoma's Information Systems Department. With a strong background in GIS management, Lee worked as a Geographic Information Technician II and I at the County of Sonoma Department of Transportation and Public Works, overseeing various GIS inventories and developing departmental websites. Starting as an Engineering Aide, Lee contributed to mapping Sonoma County's hydrology network and utilities, and began a career in GIS as a Student Intern. In addition to technical expertise, Lee has experience as a Writing Tutor at Sonoma State University Writing Center, assisting university students with their written assignments. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and two Associate's degrees in Geospatial Technology from Santa Rosa Junior College.
