Sujatha Sankaran is a Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, since June 2011. In addition, Sujatha serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Sonoma Valley Hospital and is a Leadership Fellow at the California Health Care Foundation, both roles held since October 2022 and July 2021, respectively. Previously, Sujatha co-founded the International Cardiovascular Health Alliance and practiced medicine in a private setting from January 2007 to June 2011. Early career experience includes tenure as a hospitalist at Columbia University in the City of New York. Sujatha earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder.
