John Fry, CPA, currently holds the position of Sr. Director, Business Unit Controller at Sonoco since November 2022. With significant experience in finance, Fry served as Senior Director of Finance for the Food & Beverage division at WestRock Company from August 2015 to November 2022, where responsibilities included leading centralized accounting and participating in the divestiture of a business unit. Prior to WestRock, Fry was Vice President of Finance at The Brickman Group, focusing on operational analysis and improvement in a six-state region with $320 million in annual revenues. Previous roles included Controller at Angelica Corporation, Corporate Reporting Manager at Schweitzer-Mauduit International, and various positions within the accounting sector beginning with Arthur Andersen, LLP. Fry's foundational education in accounting was completed at SMU Cox School of Business.
