Sylvia Romm, MD, MPH has held a variety of roles in the medical field since 2008. From 2008-2009, they were a Research Assistant at the International Centre for Migration and Health, and a Co-Chair of Alumni and Networking for the Global Health Policy Community. From 2009-2010, they were the Health Policy Chair for the American Medical Student Association, and a Pediatrics Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2010-2013. From 2013-2014, they were a Pediatric Hospitalist at Emerson Hospital, and a Subject Matter Expert Consultant for Wellframe from 2014-2015. From 2016-2019, they were VP of Clinical Transformation, VP of Medical Affairs, and Medical Director at American Well. In 2019, they became the Chief Innovation Officer at Atlantic Health System, and in 2020, they became the Chief Health Officer, Virtual Care at Cityblock Health. Sylvia is currently the Founder and Chairperson of Sonder Health, a telehealth company focusing on the nutrition needs of infants through adults.
Sylvia Romm, MD, MPH obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Reed College in 2000, their Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson in 2009, and their Master of Public Health in Global Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2010. Sylvia also holds a CLC certification.
