Jeremy Katz is an accomplished technology leader with a diverse background in software engineering and management. Currently serving as Tidelift CTO at Sonar since December 2024, Katz previously co-founded Tidelift and held the CTO role from July 2017 to December 2024, focusing on enhancing open source software through a subscription platform. Katz has extensive experience with major tech companies, including Google as a Staff Software Engineer, where contributions were made to Google Cloud Platform monitoring solutions, and at Stackdriver, where Katz was the first engineer responsible for product development. Additional roles include significant positions at HubSpot, Fedora Project, Red Hat, and early experience at North Carolina State University. Katz holds an SM in Systems Design and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
