David Lorenz is an experienced professional with a background in instructional design and engineering education. Currently retired since May 2022, Lorenz serves as an Instructional System Designer at Sonalysts, Inc., following roles at General Dynamics Information Technology and Huntington Ingalls Industries, where responsibilities included the design, development, and delivery of instructional products. Prior to these positions, Lorenz taught multiple engineering disciplines as an Engineering Instructor at Isle of Wight County Schools and established a premier Industrial Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation training program as an Associate Professor at Paul D. Camp Community College. In earlier career stages at Chesapeake Public Schools, Lorenz led a team of educators, emphasizing STEM initiatives and curriculum collaboration. Lorenz holds a Master's degree in Occupational and Technical Studies from Old Dominion University.
