Nuno Calado serves as the Wood Regulation & Sustainability Manager at SONAE ARAUCO since September 2018, while also holding board member positions at Centro PINUS and CoLAB ForestWISE since 2020 and 2019 respectively. Previously, Nuno Calado was the Secretary General at UNAC União da Floresta Mediterrânica from 2015 to 2018, and served as Deputy to the Minister of Agriculture and Sea for the Portuguese government in 2014-2015. Early career roles included Deputy to the Secretary of State for Forests, Forest Department Coordinator at AFLOPS, and Diploma Engineer for Forestry at both AFLOPS and FORESTIS. Nuno Calado's educational background includes a degree in Forest Engineering from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and a post-graduate degree in Organisation and Management of Forest Organisations from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
