Misa Norigami is a corporate researcher at SOMO since June 2023, with prior experience as the Acting Japan Researcher & Representative and Japan Research Assistant at the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre from May 2021 to July 2023. Misa completed an internship at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in 2022, specializing in anti-torture and human rights treaties. Educational background includes an Advanced LLM in European and International Human Rights Law from Leiden University, an LLM in Public International Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from Waseda University. Misa has held various roles in research and project management, including positions with the International Labour Organization and Waseda University, and has demonstrated a strong commitment to human rights and legal research throughout a progressive career.
