Sylvia Velez has extensive experience in leadership roles within the non-profit sector, particularly at the Greater Somerset County YMCA since January 2015, where Sylvia serves as the Associate Vice President of Equity Initiatives. In this role, Sylvia provides strategic leadership aimed at enhancing philanthropy and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to this position, Sylvia had a long tenure at Somerset Hills YMCA from October 1996 to December 2014, where roles included Branch Annual Campaign Director, Director of Member and Volunteer Engagement, Director of Volunteer Services, and Development, Marketing and Membership Assistant.
