Ms. Baird’s primary responsibilities include overseeing Somerset’s accounting functions including financial reporting, budgeting, and tax.

She started her career in public accounting in 1978 with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Ms. Baird has held various leadership roles in accounting and finance including Controller and Chief Administrative Officer at Johnson Electric, N.A., Inc (1987-2003), VP Finance at Northern Power Systems (2003 – 2007), Controller and CFO of Optimera Energy (2007-2010) and CFO of Sanef ITS Technologies (2010-2014).

Most recently, Ms. Baird (2015- 2019) served as CFO of ShelterLogic Corp, where she was responsible for accounting and finance, as well as IT and HR. While at ShelterLogic she led the transition and integrations team for two major acquisitions, effectively doubling the size of the organization. As a member of the senior management team, she participated in the successful sale of the company to a new private equity group.

Ms. Baird is a CPA (inactive) and has a Bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Bridgeport.
