John Patin currently serves as Chief Investment Officer at Somers Re Ltd. since September 2023. Previously, John held the same title at Starr Insurance Companies from March 2020 to April 2023, where responsibilities included defining investment strategies and overseeing global investment portfolios. Prior to Starr, John was Senior Vice President at Allied World from May 2013 to March 2020, managing a $9.0 billion investment portfolio. Additional experience includes roles as Chief Investment Officer at Alterra Capital Holdings Ltd. and Senior Investment Officer at Alstra Capital Management LLC, along with earlier positions as an Investment Analyst at Moore Capital Management and Graystone Wealth Management. John holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
